Telegram Integration Guide

Kruncher is designed to work with your existing workflows, not the other way around. You may minimally interact with Kruncher's main app on browser if you prefer using apps you already interact with on a daily basis.

When you connect Kruncher Bot into your Telegram, you can:

• Add a company into Kruncher via Kruncher Bot in Telegram.
• Update/add data into existing company reports in Kruncher via Kruncher Bot in Telegram
• Receive immediate/daily updates about specific companies
• Receive daily/weekly portfolio-wide general updates
• Chat with your data that's inside Kruncher

This guide will cover the use cases of integrating your Telegram with Kruncher.

Before we begin, make sure that you have Kruncher Bot inside your Telegram and that it is active. Click here to learn how to setup the Kruncher Bot.

Add a company into Kruncher via Telegram

1. Simply tell Kruncher Bot (in your own words) that you want to add a company, like how you would ask ChatGPT.
2. If your Kruncher Bot is inside a Telegram group, make sure the group allows the Kruncher Bot to send and receive messages. Do this by toggling the “Allow Chat” options. 
3. You only need one thing to add a company: the company’s website. 
4. For example, you can send a message like: "please add this company www.example.com"
5. You can also send a company document, and the bot will understand that you want to add that company. 
6. After you made the request, type “done” or “submit” to complete the request. 
7. If you no longer want to continue, say “cancel” and the bot will stop right away.

TIP: The bot will tell you it is in "company addition mode" and it will not engage to any requests other than telling it you're done submitting, or you're cancelling the operation.

Kruncher will take 15-20 minutes to generate your report. You will also get a notification once your report is generated.

Update/add data into existing company reports in Kruncher via Telegram

1. Simply upload a company document, and the bot will understand that you want to add that company/add into existing company report if there's any.
2. Type “done” or “submit” to complete the request.
3. Type “cancel” and the bot will stop right away.
   

Kruncher will take 15-20 minutes to generate your report/update it. You will also get a notification once your report is generated.

TIP: The bot will tell you it is in "company addition mode" and it will not engage to any requests other than telling it you're done submitting, or you're cancelling the operation.

IMPORTANT: Adding a document into an existing analysis will trigger a new analysis and will consume 1 credit.

Configure Notifications

Communication Frequency

On the top right, click on your profile picture, and go to Manage Profile.

In the Communication frequency dropdown, choose which updates you want to receive and their frequency:

• Immediate notifications for all updates: Immediately get a notification whenever any active action is triggered.
• Daily digest of key updates: Get a daily summary of only updates that Kruncher deems important.
• Daily digest with every update: Get a daily summary with each active action that is triggered.
• Weekly digest of key updates: Get a weekly summary of only updates that Kruncher deems important.
• Weekly digest with every update: Get a weekly summary with each active action that is triggered.
• Weekly highlights top three updates: Get a weekly notification of only the top three most important updates.

To change the communication frequency, simply choose a new setting and Kruncher will automatically save your new choice.

NOTE: This setting currently applies platform wide, meaning it will apply for all you will receive notifications in all messaging apps (Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp). Currently, there is no option to individually select the communication frequency per app.

Types of notifications to receive

Scroll down until you find the Event notifications section.

Here, you can choose which behaviors will send you an update (toggle them on):

• New report: Sends you a notification every time a new report that you submitted has finished generating.
• Report update: Sends you a notification every time a report has had an update.
  • NOTE: You will only get this and subsequent notifications if you have "Deal notification" on inside a company report's Settings. If you are the creator of the report, this is set active by default. You can choose your team members to also get updates of a specific report by enabling the Deal notification on their row.
• Report status change: Sends you a notification every time a report has had its status changed, for example a company that has moved from Inbox to Team Reviewing, or from Watchlist into Dropped.
• Report comment vote: Sends you a notification every time a report has gotten a new vote or update.

You can turn on/off any of these triggers at any time.

Chat with your data within Kruncher

Kruncher Bot in Telegram is the same Chatbot that's always present inside Kruncher. You may chat with Kruncher Bot in Telegram to ask questions and immediately fetch data about a company that exists in your workspace.

Examples of queries you can make:

• "whats the latest revenue of [company]?"
• "what was the name of the fashion tech company that we had a call with a year ago?"

Kruncher can answer your questions provided that:

• The company you are referring to exists in your Kruncher workspace.
• The information you ask for exists (is not a Missing Data).

If data is missing, Kruncher Bot will simply tell you so.
